Playstyle
Lin is a beginner-friendly character built around multi-weapon combos, fast movement, high damage, and seamless stance synergy. His combat revolves around fluidly shifting between three Styles: Human, Angel, and Demon, each wielding a distinct set of weapons. Rather than relying on a single optimized moveset, Lin reaches his full potential by chaining attacks across all three Styles. His Angel and Demon Styles function as reactive extensions of his Human baseline, enhancing combo routes through synergy effects triggered by precise stance switching. This gives Lin a straightforward foundation while rewarding players who master his multi-style flow.
The primary drawback of Lin’s design is his reliance on stance variety. Remaining in a single Style limits his damage output, resource generation, and combo potential, making his offense less effective over time. To maintain consistent pressure and maximize his performance, Lin must continually rotate between Human, Angel, and Demon Styles, weaving their unique strengths together into a single offensive sequence.

Styles
Styles are specialized movesets that expand Lin’s arsenal with three sets of weapons. Each stance offers a unique set of follow-up attacks, which can be chained together for complex combos. In unison, Lin can switch between Angel and Demon Styles (Tied to Style input) that can be used to attack at the same time with Liberty (Normal Attack input). Lin normally relies on Human, switching between Angel and Demon as supplementary kits for his base moves. This is signified by the color Lin glows while switching.
Human (White) – Lin’s main style focused on a balance between power and speed. Slightly slow compared to Angel Style. Strongest against crowds and slow singular enemies.
- Hype-fryer is Lin’s central kit for Human, granting new moves for Lin’s chainsaw sword and his guns
- Deft Swap – When performing a combo with Liberty, Lin can delay a hit to transition to Angel / Demon, causing synergy effects based on the stance. Angel causes sword projectiles to home in on nearby enemies, while Demon causes swords to perform follow-up afterimages to his attacks.
Angel (Blue) is Lin’s mobility-oriented style. Fast but having less damage, this style uses high mobility and evasiveness for one-on-one combat. It also can sweep in enemies from long ranges.

Demon (Red) is Lin’s power / defense-oriented style. Slow but powerful, this style destroys crowds easily with it’s wide range and chargeable attacks, disrupting enemy guards. It also has a guard that resists damage as well as extensive grabs.
- Infernal Resolve – If Lin takes a hit that’s not a knockdown, he’ll briefly flash red / yellow as he reels back. Hit attack at the same time to immediately recover, retaliating with a quick jab.
- Death Toll – When parrying enemies, he gains a temporary buff of invincibility
- Shadow Fang (Hold Guard) – Lin weaves with quick steps, allowing him to quickly feint moves and do quicker counterattacks
Hype-fryer
Lin can activate Rev Saw by holding specific attacks. While charging, Liberty’s engine revs up and a timing gauge appears with three release windows. Each successful release grants different benefits while generating Nitro Fuel, a temporary resource that empowers Lin’s next offensive sequence.
Nitro Fuel functions as a temporary combustion resource.
The more Nitro Fuel stored, the stronger Lin’s empowered attacks become. Nitro is consumed whenever Lin performs an empowered follow-up or finisher.
Rev Saw Timing
Every charge contains three release windows.
- Demon Window (Early Release) — Grants a temporary damage increase and knockback
- Angel Window (Mid Release) — Grants increased attack speed and combo recovery.
- Nephilim Unison (Perfect Release) — Grants both bonuses while generating the largest amount of Nitro Fuel.
Holding beyond the final window unleashes an Overdrive Slash with maximum Nitro generation.
Successful timing also builds Hype-fryer Level.
Unlike Nitro Fuel, Hype-fryer does not increase based on stored fuel, but through repeated successful Rev Saw timings and maintaining offensive momentum.
Nitro Fuel directly enhances Lin’s attacks, causing his saw to glow and leave explosive bursts on hit.
The more Nitro stored determines how long follow-ups deal increased damage, finishers become stronger, and increases Smolder buildup
Nitro naturally empties after empowered attacks and completely resets after cinematic finishers.
Whenever Lin performs a successful Rev Saw attack below Overture, his attacks apply Smolder.
Smolder stores heat buildup on enemies.
Heavy attacks and Gear Combos consume Smolder to trigger powerful explosions.
The higher Lin’s Nitro Fuel, the stronger these detonations become.
Consistently landing successful Rev Saw timings increases his current Hype Level. Missing timing windows or remaining inactive gradually lowers Hype.

Rev Saw can be held into an Climactic Finish, a cinematic finisher whose damage scales with remaining Nitro Fuel and consumed Smolder.

Lin unleashes his draconic transformation, erupting with wings of lightning and fire that embody the fusion of Human, Angel, and Demon Styles. Every weapon reaches its maximum potential as Lin enters a relentless offensive state where style switching becomes nearly seamless.

- Super Armor — Most attacks cannot be interrupted by stagger.
- Automatic Overdrive — Liberty permanently enters Full Power Hype-fryer. Rev Saw timing is no longer required, and every chainsaw attack is treated as a perfect rev.
- Nitro Overflow — Nitro Fuel constantly regenerates and empowers every attack.
- Smolder Overload — Smolder builds significantly faster and detonates in larger explosions.
- Style Swaps become nearly instantaneous, allowing continuous weapon routing with minimal recovery.
- Climax Gauge gain is increased during successful combos.

- Health regeneration is greatly accelerated.
- Healing also grants brief damage reduction.

- Vacuum strength is significantly increased.
- Enemies remain trapped longer during combo sequences.
