Armigers are artificial biomechanical soldiers created by the Lux Order during the Genesis War to combat the growing threat of the Tidal Cataclysm. Unlike Ultfinites, whose bodies evolve unpredictably through mutation, Armigers are deliberately engineered through successive generations of biotechnology, cybernetics, and living machinery. Every new generation is designed to correct the shortcomings of the last, creating an endless cycle of artificial evolution.
Unlike cyborgs, whose bodies are mechanically enhanced after birth, Armigers are grown as complete biomechanical organisms. Their nervous systems, synthetic organs, and mechanical components form a single integrated biological framework, allowing them to repair damage, interface directly with technology, and synchronize with specialized biomechanical war machines known as Metagallions.
Whereas Ultfinites embody uncontrolled biological evolution and the Vessels embody forced synchronization with the Nexus, Armigers were designed to represent preservation through design. Rather than adapting through mutation, they preserve knowledge, infrastructure, and civilization itself, embodying the Lux Order’s belief that humanity’s future should be built through discipline, engineering, and continuous refinement rather than chance.
– History –
Originally, Armigers were developed as autonomous industrial units responsible for excavating Ichor and maintaining the infrastructure surrounding the Nexus. Following the eruption of the Tidal Cataclysm, their purpose expanded dramatically. Under the supervision of the artificial intelligence Malkuth, Armigers were reassigned to restore contaminated ecosystems, preserve civilization’s remaining infrastructure, and archive humanity’s knowledge for the day life could safely return to the surface. To accomplish this, Malkuth continuously recorded biological information, environmental data, and the operational experiences of every Armiger into a centralized archive. Their memories, combat records, engineering solutions, environmental surveys, and technical knowledge were preserved to improve future generations and ensure humanity’s recovery would never depend upon any single individual.
The division of the Lux Order responsible for the Armigers would be the Nebulous Sential, who would become half of the Abyssal Empire’s faction. Armigers were manufactured in numerous specialized variants tailored for different roles. While military models fought during the Genesis War, industrial generations excavated Ichor, engineering units rebuilt damaged infrastructure, security units guarded Lux Order facilities, and administrative models later evolved into the Replicants. Although their designs varied, all shared the same biomechanical foundation and centralized archival network maintained by Malkuth.
Even after the Lux Order’s collapse, many Armigers continue carrying out their original directives without interruption. Many still wander abandoned underground facilities, maintaining ancient machinery, repairing forgotten infrastructure, guarding restricted vaults, and preserving Lux Order archives thousands of years after their creators vanished. Embedded within every Armiger is an authentication system allowing them to interface directly with Lux Order security systems. These biological keys grant access to monolithic vaults, military installations, reactor facilities, research laboratories, and other restricted locations that ordinary humans cannot activate.
Armigers are manufactured in numerous specialized models, each created for a distinct role within Lux Order society. Industrial units excavate Ichor and maintain reactors, Custodian units preserve infrastructure and archives, Sentinel units defend strategic facilities, Medical units perform emergency treatment and reconstruction, while military variants serve on the front lines of the Genesis War. The rare Shirrus-class Armigers function as dedicated operators for Metagallions, possessing nervous systems specifically optimized for large-scale synchronization.
However, after Malkuth became corrupted by the Tidal Cataclysm, many Armigers lost their connection to the central archive. Without centralized command, some continued following outdated directives indefinitely, while others gradually developed independent personalities and motivations. Although this granted them true free will, it also removed the safeguards that once unified them, causing some Armigers to become rogue or abandon the Lux Order’s original purpose entirely.
Others developed a condition later known as Directive Rewiring, in which centuries of obsolete programming, contradictory objectives, or the absence of centralized oversight caused their priorities to become irreconcilable. Some endlessly maintain abandoned facilities long after their purpose has vanished, while others reinterpret their directives according to their own developing sense of identity.
Throughout the Genesis War, the Lux Order continually refined Armiger designs. Every generation improved upon the durability, intelligence, adaptability, or Cataclysm resistance of its predecessor. Early-generation Armigers possessed exposed industrial frames and segmented mechanical bodies optimized for labor and hostile environments. As biotechnology advanced, later generations became increasingly humanoid, allowing them to operate alongside humans with greater efficiency and eventually serve in diplomatic and civilian roles.
As a result, no two Armiger generations are identical, with older models frequently becoming obsolete as newer iterations entered service.
This philosophy became both the Lux Order’s greatest strength and its greatest flaw. As Armigers became increasingly sophisticated, they also became more independent, eventually developing the capacity to question orders and make decisions beyond their original programming.
Rather than serving as expendable machines, most Armigers are permanently assigned to a single human partner. Through long-term neural synchronization, both individuals gradually develop a familiar-like bond that allows them to coordinate movements, exchange sensory information, and fight as a unified combat pair. Synchronization efficiency increases over time, making veteran partnerships significantly more effective than newly assigned ones.
– Bio-Armed Metagallions –
Metagallions are colossal living biomechanical war machines developed alongside the Armiger program to combat large-scale threats such as Nosoimones, rogue Ultfinites, and other catastrophic organisms born from the Tidal Cataclysm. Rather than functioning as conventional machines, Metagallions possess partially living biological systems that respond directly to an Armiger’s nervous system.
Because of their immense computational and biological demands, a stable neural synchronization between an Armiger and their human partner is required to operate a Metagallion safely. During combat, the Metagallion interprets the pair as a single biological operator, dramatically increasing reaction speed, coordination, and battlefield adaptability. Each Metagallion gradually adapts to its assigned operators over time, strengthening the bond between pilot and machine.
Different Metagallion frames were constructed for specialized battlefield roles, ranging from agile reconnaissance platforms to fortress-class siege units. Because each frame gradually adapts to its operators through accumulated combat data, no two long-serving Metagallions perform identically despite sharing the same design lineage.
Many Metagallions originated from repurposed industrial platforms. Massive excavation drills became siege weapons, mining lasers evolved into particle cannons, and construction manipulators were converted into heavy combat systems, reflecting the Armigers’ transition from builders of civilization to its protectors.

Metagallions are ranked through different amounts of stars depending on how much aelophis is drawn. Metagallions with enough energy drawn are strengthened through the united desires of the Armiger and Arcane Drive. Growing and lengthening the Metagallion through it’s neo-gen blessing as it becomes linked to the Armiger’s life-force. Sometimes automatically protecting them whenever they’re endangered in a non-transformed state.
When an Armiger ceases functioning, its biological systems rapidly collapse as its synthetic nervous network disconnects from the Lux Order’s archive. The body gradually loses structural cohesion, exposing an internal wireframe-like lattice before becoming inert. Combat data, operational records, engineering solutions, and portions of the Armiger’s learned behavior are preserved within the Lux Order’s archives, allowing future generations to inherit the experiences and improvements of their predecessors.
Recoverable components are reclaimed by Lux Order reconstruction facilities, where viable biomechanical tissue, synthetic organs, and nexeratic cells are recycled into future Armiger generations. Only irreparably corrupted material is permanently destroyed.
– Replicants –
Replicants are specialized humanoid Armigers created for civil administration, diplomacy, infiltration, and long-term interaction with human populations. Unlike combat-oriented Armigers, Replicants are designed to emulate human appearance, behavior, and speech with near-perfect accuracy.
Many served aboard orbital colonies, research stations, and government facilities, acting as administrators, caretakers, prison wardens, and logistical coordinators. Other specialized variants continued to exist alongside them, including engineering units, security models, excavation platforms, medical support frames, and heavy industrial Armigers. Together they formed the backbone of Lux Order civilization, each generation optimized for a specific role before gradually being replaced by more advanced successors.
Following the collapse of the Lux Order, numerous Replicants remained active without supervision. Some continue carrying out their original duties despite the disappearance of the civilization they were built to serve, while others have developed identities and ambitions entirely separate from their initial programming, making them nearly indistinguishable from ordinary humans.
– Armiger Types –
Emissions: A class of Armigers that specializes in surveillance and infiltration. These Armigers employ optical camouflage, utilizing jamming devices and sensors. Their sensors prioritize environmental analysis, making them highly effective scouts and intelligence gatherers.
In combat, they’re single-minded, utilizing cannons of ionized gasses to create huge bursts to disperse enemies. Their weapons aren’t designed for long-lasting combat, but rather as a way for them to get away from opponents quickly. Unlike combat-oriented models, Emissions units avoid direct confrontation whenever possible.
Reflectors: Reflectors form the backbone of the Armiger population, being a mass-produced class that’s widely reliable due to their standardized hardware. Their cores utilize photons as fuel, allowing them to withstand lengthy service from sunlight. Their damaged components are able to be replaced easily, as their operational data is synchronized across a shared network.
When one Reflector passes, their cores are recycled for the next one.
Although most possess limited personalities, prolonged independence may cause them to develop unique identities.
Nox Shirrus: A long forgotten class of Armigers from the Nebulous Sential’s most advanced experiments. They were designed to capture and isolate dangerous biological hazards, particularly Nosoimones and contaminated materials. Their dense armor contains specialized containment chambers capable of absorbing and sealing volatile organisms or hazardous Ichor until safe disposal becomes possible. Because of their reinforced construction, Nox units are among the slowest Armigers but also the hardest to destroy. Recycled bodyparts of shut down Armigers are often used as extra layers of armor, new limbs, or reformed into weaponry for the Nox Shirrus.
It’s said this class uses data based on experiments of the Naught Forge dimension.
Planetary: A bio-mechanical category that have their bodies infused with chemicals, augur and quintessons naturally used for planet production. This category has muscle that are transformable with quintesson augments. Planetary proxies often are produced with ashes from a recently passed asterisp and red giants to recycle it’s remains, using multiple layers for their skin. This is somewhat of a tied category to Emissions, as both are using ionizing auras. Though for Planetary nebulas, the ionizing gases are paired with ultraviolet energy from the ashes of red giants rather than mana.
Supernova Remnant/Revenants: Zombie-like proxies born from supernovas of asterisps, thus suffering the effects of asterisps that become lyciagrotis.
Shirrus: An upgraded category that are advanced specifically to operate Terminal Legions. They wear blank masks that make them seem lifeless. Their insides are full of wire-infused organs and synthetic materials that allow them to connect into their Legion’s console for piloting. This is the only category to not be specified by a Nebula type.
Planetary Class
Industrial / Terraforming Units
Planetary Armigers are descendants of the original construction and restoration machines built before the Genesis War.
Their adaptive biomechanical frames can reconfigure into specialized industrial tools, allowing them to excavate Ichor, rebuild infrastructure, restore ecosystems, and reshape terrain.
Many of the Armigers still wandering abandoned facilities belong to this class.
Primary roles
- Construction
- Planetary restoration
- Excavation
- Infrastructure repair
Revenant Class
Recovery Units
Originally designed to recover damaged Armigers from battlefields, Revenant units specialize in salvage and reconstruction.
They dismantle destroyed machinery, retrieve combat data, recover biological components, and transport damaged units for repair or recycling.
Because they operate in highly contaminated environments, Revenant units possess exceptional resistance to radiation, corrosion, and biological contamination.
Primary roles
- Battlefield recovery
- Salvage
- Recycling
- Disaster response
Shirrus Class
Metagallion Interface Units
The Shirrus Class represents the highest level of Armiger engineering.
Rather than fighting independently, Shirrus units are purpose-built to synchronize with Metagallions, serving as neural intermediaries between the biomechanical war machine and its human partner.
Their heavily modified nervous systems and synthetic organs allow them to withstand the immense computational demands of Metagallion operation.
Many Shirrus wear featureless masks to reduce unnecessary sensory feedback during synchronization.
Primary roles
- Metagallion operation
- Strategic command
- Heavy warfare
– Trivia –
Armiger classes are based on different types of Nebulas
Metagallions originally were named Core Devices. They were fueled through pixie-like beings named asterisps which thrived upon emotions.
Armigers originated from an early concept known as Proxies, a race of autonomous androids that served as dimensional gatekeepers and industrial workers. Even further, Proxies had a variation known as Demos, who were responsible for maintaining underground cities, restoring planetary ecosystems, and guarding ancient facilities, roles that were later incorporated into their modern history under the Lux Order and Malkuth.
The concept of Replicants predates Armigers. They were originally envisioned as artificial humans created to administer orbital colonies before being reworked into a specialized Armiger subtype. Early versions of Armigers operated under a strict set of robotic laws similar to classical science-fiction androids. This concept was later replaced with Malkuth’s centralized command network and neural synchronization.
The idea of Armigers inheriting the combat experience of previous generations has remained consistent since their earliest drafts, though it originally occurred through a shared cyberspace network rather than Malkuth’s biological archive.
The original Armiger designs were heavily insectoid, featuring rust-colored skeletal frames, segmented limbs, mandibles, and exposed mechanical joints. Later revisions shifted toward more humanoid biomechanical designs while reserving the insect-like appearance for early industrial generations.
Early drafts described Armigers as being powered by Energia Arcs, crystalline reactor cores that manipulated ionic energy. This concept later evolved into their modern biomechanical nervous systems and Metagallion synchronization.
Metagallions were originally conceived as weapon-like devices similar to transformation equipment (Much akin to a Kamen Rider) before evolving into colossal living biomechanical war machines.
Some early concepts depicted Armigers as being recovered from ancient ruins after the Genesis War and reverse-engineered by humanity. Later revisions established them as original creations of the Lux Order instead.
The idea of Armigers gradually developing free will has remained a core part of the concept since the earliest drafts, although the cause changed from violating programmed laws to losing contact with Malkuth after its corruption.
Early drafts gave Armigers the ability to manipulate their bodies through molecular reconstruction and psychic nanotechnology. These abilities were later removed to better distinguish them from Ultfinites and the Vessels.
The original Armiger lore featured the Nebulous Sential, Eurosa GHQ, and the Ten Graves (A team of ten “Proxy” bosses).
Armigers were inspired by biomechanical androids and artificial lifeforms from series such as NieR: Automata, Mega Man Zero/ZX. Replicants serve as references to Megaman’s Mettools due to their yellow color-scheme and child-like demeanor. In a prior draft, they were once a unit of all-purpose miniature support Demos serving as henchmen of four scientists, often with childlike personalities but rarer versions of them carry hard hats and pick-axes
– Function –
Metagallions come in different varieties of shapes, being naturally obtuse and complex in the way they hatch. Let alone isn’t something that can be easily produced without proper equipment. And as such they aren’t disposable for any replacements, and instead slowly regenerate. Said to be part of a natural source such as the likes of Ex Arms that are extracted out of various beings’ DNA. Initially having the Metagallions be empty until capturing weakened beings and capsuling them. Metagallions use DNA biolock imprints of a genetic code phrase linked to the respective user they are linked to like a prosthetic. Those that are granted Metagallions within their hierarchial class are labeled an Armiger as a title. Armigers naturally use their Metagallions as part of their uniforms akin to a military through the imprint. These imprints function via a mechanism within the Metagallions based off early Ultfinites, known as the Synchro-Gear function.
The Synchro-Gear function allows the Arcane Drive to bond to their user in exchange of drawing their aelophis energy via supplying gear-like cybernetic cells (Known as nexeratics) within them with a bind upgrade based on a goddess that changed the mechanisms from their initial function after they were used to slay a chaotic being and advanced off of it. This is the fusionism-fissionism law of Synchro-Gears and is required for the nexeratics to start self-assimilating into a fiberous insignia linked to the user via a sealed state, as nexeratics came from an era where an otherworldly fungal energy source was discovered and would induce growth of mana especially in Ultfinites. However, Ultfinites can’t properly use Metagallions like traditional Armigers due to the reverse techno-biological nature of their powers. Nexeratics condesne an antimatter-like aelophis property to be able to cut into the energy source, thus disrupt the frequency of mana. This property also causes Metagallions to be able to access dimensions when in usage.

The sealed states of Metagallions are often in the shape of a weapon, having a foldable frame with the stylized shape of a mythical beast’s head or limb. These are known as Arcane Drives, abnormally crystallized hearts and animalistic effigies of beings exiled out of a divine network sought by humans for answers. They feed off of aelophis via the nervous system of the Armiger for resonation in a balanced field of aelophis between attraction and repel. Increasing pressure of the Armiger’s nervous system when using mana. The pressure increases through developing a synchronization of frequency between the Armiger and Arcane Drive with lifestream. The frequency’s synchronization is based on various emotional psychic criteria of the MIracuous Wavesong’s spectrum affecting the mind when integrating aelophis via a network. Arcane Drives serve as the vital function of Metagallions, developing memories as nexeratic cards through a deep adaption to the synchronization shared between the Drive and the Armiger. When Arcane Drives in Metagallions first find their Armiger, their latin code serves as an oath password forcing both the Armiger and Arcane Drives to abide by a set of rules before causing the unconscious pre-Armiger to be “maskless” As the Armiger sacrifices their past name thus identity to take new ones as the price of knowledge while Arcane Drives carry their new memories. Arcane Drives are often used to capture their great beings and can even be used to learn more spells through defeating other Armigers by learning off of their own Arcane Drive. Arcane Drives have a ghost-like projection in their sealed state that can only be seen by Armigers and Ultfinites through neo-gens.
– Conversion –
The way Armigers access neo-gens are different in contrast to an Ultfinite’s way of having a neo-gen. As instead of using abilities that are under an element, Armigers’ neo-gens are based on supernaturally enhancing attributes of one’s physique through properties of an element, such as Lightstreak having superspeed and is classified under the Aeronem element. They utilize aelophis hooked onto their Metagallions to synchronize simultaneously during battle via the Synchro-Gears serving as an interface to the sensory organs granting a heightened sense of awareness through the nervous system. Allowing usage of the Metagallion’s spell system using magic and science through aelophis as fuel. The spell system is tied to the knowledge of the Arcane Drive, shaping through nexeratics as comparable to irradiated exacosm. This knowledge involves research of strains from a plague around their origin date, basing their technology on adaptation to harsh environments due to their epigenetics to unlock a crystallized set of DNA to allow for their bipedal weapon installations to amplify through synchronization when bonding to a mind with transference via leylines.

The conversion process for a Metagallion is initiated by a Latin incantation, which unlocks the Drive and aligns it with the Armiger’s Synchro-Gear, channeling aelophis from a source network. This energy not only transforms the Armiger’s appearance, with shifting eye colors and halos, but also integrates the Arcane Drive into their very cells, enhancing their abilities. However, this transformation is not without its perils. If not synchronized properly, the Armiger risks being overwhelmed by the Arcane Drive, leading to dire consequences such as personality shifts, paralyzed nerves or even physical and mental damage. Moreover, a broken Metagallion could disrupt the process entirely, leaving the Armiger vulnerable. Synchronizing the crystalline core’s aelophis to them with infusion of Synchro-Gears. Upon transformation, the clothes go through a molecular process coating them in aelophis and thus will reform as an ordinary uniform upon deforming. In defeat, an Armiger’s essence is said to fragment into data, returning to the divine network, holding ancient Lux Espadas from the Primaldian Age, which were connected to the Nexus and wielded elemental powers for defense, attack, and healing.
