Lightstreak

April 30, 2023 /Posted byBioMassCore x ULTIMATE / 37 / 0

Lightstreak (Nicknamed LS), the Blurred Jolt, is an Armiger within the Talon Regime’s Tannin Jaegers. He is an android who once served as an elite officer for the government out of a sense of patriotism to his creators. Only to eventually leave out of embarrassment for failing his idol, and is currently searching for a former comrade he knew in the war. Rigid and dutiful, LS prides himself on competence and structure, and is responsible for keeping people like Elpis and Daibo in line. He currently serves as the tracing counselor and messenger of the Talon Regime.

– Personality –

Lightstreak is a disciplined tactician and self-structured perfectionist, defined by his belief in order, responsibility, and measurable results. His ambition is not merely personal; it’s practical. He strives for leadership of the Tannin Jaegers not for glory, but because he genuinely believes only those who can manage chaos through systems and strategy deserve to command. To him, competence is morality, and accountability is the highest virtue. Everything else is noise. He is driven by legacy, particularly his father’s, and honors it by upholding the code of discipline and justice with an almost militant reverence. He does not bend rules for sentiment or improvisation unless the outcome clearly justifies it. This has earned him a reputation akin to a devoted K9: unwavering, alert, and always ready to shoulder more than his fair share of the burden. But his inflexible loyalty has cost him too, creating rifts when others fall short of his standards or operate from emotion rather than reason.

Lightstreak possesses a rigid internal structure and expects the same from those around him. He has no patience for excuses or inefficiency, often masking his disappointment in biting professionalism and subtle snark. He’s not overtly aggressive, but his command presence and sharp critical thinking can often make others feel like they’re under constant review. Trust, for him, must be earned through consistent performance and strict adherence to protocol. He views war not as random chaos, but as a machine of variables—an engine that only the prepared can shape. His philosophy, which he calls “personal traffic management,” is an applied science of tactics, timing, and influence. Inspired by the teachings of his father and Minerva, whom he sees as models of authority and strategic justice, Lightstreak believes control must be exercised over everything: movement, morale, objectives, and even the reactions of allies. This belief often causes friction. He sees collaboration as useful, but only when it does not compromise the integrity of the command structure.

His early years as an officer were marked by the sting of inadequacy. Branded as frail and burdened by the weight of unmet expectations, he didn’t retreat. Instead, he recalibrated. He consumed hours of martial tape, studied battle reports like gospel, and internalized every detail into a personal code built on discipline and precision. His admiration for figures like Insho the Shiv gave him not just combat efficiency, but a posture of iconic composure and focus. He began to resemble Tokusatsu heroes without realizing it, a trait only Seirya ever teases him for. His perfectionism masks a deeper discomfort with emotional complexity. He avoids vulnerability, believing it creates cracks in the armor of leadership. While fiercely loyal, he’s slow to form close bonds and often over-scrutinizes others when they deviate from his expectations. He prefers clarity and control, both in action and in thought, and finds comfort in well-defined chains of command. This worldview sometimes isolates him. His skepticism toward Daibo, for example, stems from seeing in him a reflection of his younger, uncertain self. That same reflection, however, drives him to push Daibo forward. Not just to survive, but to transcend weakness and learn self-mastery.

Despite his rigid exterior, Lightstreak values routine and ritual as a form of internal balance. His rare indulgence—blasting Eurobeat while performing a unique blend of skating and Irish step-dancing—is not frivolous to him. It is structure in motion, a recalibration of the self. He does not seek catharsis; he organizes it. Above all, Lightstreak believes in earned respect, actionable goals, and leading by example. In a world of shifting alliances and unpredictable outcomes, he remains a fixed point. He is the one who carries the map, directs the flow, and ensures the mission doesn’t lose momentum.

– Abilities (Neo-Gen – Grigora Force) –

Lightstreak’s power, Grigora Force, allows him to manipulate his own velocity, affecting both speed and direction. He propels himself with electrons shot out of his motorcycle-styled grieves to gain momentum. The more momentum he gains, the faster his attacks become, increasing the stun potential of his impacts. When gaining momentum, he performs a skating-like motion, conserving momentum without slowing him down. His cybernetic brain thinks and reacts faster than everything else, making the world feel slowed down. He fights with a mix of Taekewondo, Capoeira, and breakdancing, granting a high advantage for his kicks.

Lightstreak’s grieves are motorcycle-styled leg attachments that serve as his primary weapon. Within these grieves are batteries that “combust” out of his back-thrusters based on how much speed is built up. Converting his velocity into stored electrical energy to release shocking impacts from his kicks, causing friction off of the ground. The faster Light goes, the more lightning accumulates akin to an engine revving to produce more power. Inside of his legs are piston-like joints that push together whenever light runs, compressing internal springs and charging electric capacitors to convert kinetic energy into electricity. In these grieves are an internal gear system which converts piston motion in his leg’s joints into rotational energy for his sawblade tires, spinning them faster for cuts. On the bottom of his feet are conductive plates that catch the terrain like train wheels on a rail, building friction and charging his capacitors quicker. Leaving temporary rails behind as a result.

The tires on his feet act as high-speed sawblades, slicing with precision while also projecting stored electricity as sonic shockwaves. While on the ground, these sawblades add traction for kicks, slides and jumps. These sawblades also enable wall-scaling and vertical maneuvers, letting him run along surfaces while continuing to build velocity and charge electricity for attacks.

– When he dashes, Lightstreak leaves a streak of superheated ions shaped like a railroad. Catching in those who are caught in his path and shocking them. These trails then solidify to become platforms he can dash off of, such as bounding off nearby walls or catching opponents in mid-air for environmental parkour.

When running in a circular pattern, Lightstreak creates a centripetal vacuum that sweeps in crowds. His aerodynamic body is also resistant to strong winds.

Lightstreak can curl into a ball, making his armor fold into a shelled plating of metal around himself. It begins to conduct as he builds up speed while rapidly spinning, emitting lightning spikes from his plates that causes him to turn into a sawblade while rapidly spinning. These metallic plates increase Lightstreak’s defensive capabilities, deflecting any offense in his path and cutting through it. When rolling at enemies, Lightstreak rotates at great speed with reduced friction and can slam into and/or run over enemies. Upon hitting a surface or enemy, Light can redirect his motion mid-dash by bouncing off of it like a pinball, maintaining speed. Each bounce preserves a percentage of stored electricity, but sharper angles increase the output that comes with his next attack. However, repeated redirections can overcharge his grieves, risking burnout.

– He can quickly release his acceleration to evade through using a reflex booster as he performs a braking motion, leaving behind blurred afterimages of distorted electrons through braking his feet to the opposite direction. He utilizes braking to release powerful sonic bursts as part of his attacks as part of him suddenly stopping his movement.

– When charging a dash, Lightstreak presses his sawblades into the ground to build up kinetic friction as he rapidly spins in a neutral position like a saw, generating sparks and further charging his electrical output for a devastating release. Creating heat-based impacts from impacting the ground, allowing him to mix fire with his attacks. This friction creates localized zones of lightning on the ground, briefly turning terrain into conductive surfaces. Enemies standing in these zones become targets for higher stun.

When releasing a charged dash, Light converts his body into electron particles that passes through someone. During his charged dash, Light briefly slows time down for a set duration of 24 seconds, creating a high-speed window in which his movement. Anything hit by Light’s dash must abide by the time limit: a traffic light will be placed.
– Red – Don’t move
– Yellow – Slow down, avoid erratic movement
– Green – Proceed, don’t stop
Any of these 3 traffic lights must be followed within the frame window, otherwise the opponent becomes electrocuted, leaving them vulnerable. Causing Light’s subsequent attacks to treat the target as a conductive surface for his shocking kicks.

Light’s attacks will not actually hit during a time-slowed window. Instead, he stacks them as different frames within each second (24). When the charged dash ends, he releases afterimages of himself performing the actions he’s done within the time-slowed window. However, there are limits on how far he can do this.

Light’s Signature, Hyper Accel, has him do a series of consecutive dashes across multiple nearby points that he imagines like pinball flippers, envisioning a racing track in front of him as he speeds forward. Time begins to accelerate rapidly, aging his opponent with the more hits he applies to them before unleashing a final dash that cuts through the opponent, leaving them in a burst of lightning.

Light can convert his body into a full-sized mecha, integrating large sawblades into his arms and legs. In this form, he trades his mobility for charged dashes and environmental parkour for massive firepower and constant speed. He’s able to rapidly dash and deliver large saw-styled impacts. His arms can fire out saws like a high-caliber cannon, extending the saws as blades with ionized air.

Turbo Godspeed is activated via the Rift Engine’s disguised form of a checker-patterned liscense that has multiple modes. These modes allow it to shapen into a phone, a scanner that determines the guilt of someone that will place them in a prison of antimatter.

– Trivia –

Lightstreak’s motif is based off the ram, an animal which represents the greek god Hermes, whom he is based on.

Lightstreak was originally going to be equipped with chakrams in the shape of wheels and a nitro rocket launcher that fires magnum shots of vapor-powered missiles as part of his riot shield, which would’ve been titled Hasta La Vista.

The way of Lightstreak using passive obstacles and active enemies to propel his speed is akin to the functions of Pinball

Lightstreak’s face and hair was originally meant to be representative of Million Knives from Trigun. Another has similarity to Leorio from Hunter x Hunter, which has led to the idea that Lightstreak doesn’t show his eyes at all.

Lightstreak’s schtick of believing in Coraline to believe in him is a reference to Kamina from Gurren Lagann.

Lightstreak’s liscense drive for Turbo Godspeed is inspired by the Delta Morphers of Power Rangers SPD

Lightstreak was originally going to be Norwegian. However, his nationality was swapped with Aviatron of the Gravewardens, this would then lead into a concept of the two having a rivalry starting in the lead-up events to Generation 3.

Lightstreak was going to be Elpis’ foil, but this was changed.

Lightstreak’s father is Irish while his mother is Scottish.

Lightstreak was originally going to have a son as of Generation 4. This was recycled into him treating Cricket like a son.

Lightstreak was salvaged from two concepts of Proto-BMC. Those being Hooch and Officer Mikfo. Hooch was meant to be a futuristic FBI-themed character that came to the past of Uranus to deal with an incoming threat and would be part of a storyline involving the protagonist Aran Favre. While Officer Mikfo was a communication officer within a group of space rangers. Hooch eventually had a panther motif to replace his canine motif, though both were scrapped.
